The 3 bears bobble hats are made with 100% Bluefaced Leicester wool and are therefore beautifully soft. You can use any aran yarn but pure soft wool is best for warmth and comfort and is not scratchy like some harsh wools. The hat patterns are in 3 sizes including small, medium and large heads. The pattern includes instructions to make the hats bigger if you want even larger sizes. The main part of the hat is crocheted and the ribs are knitted. You can choose your own colours. There are instructions for UK and US terminology. For the pompom I used cardboard but you can use a large pompom maker that you can purchase online or in haberdashery shops.
