I have bought a lot of yarn on cones at www.yeoman-yarns.co.uk and the yarn I used for this throw is no exception as they do some wonderful yarns. Alpaca Kajam is the only chunky yarn that they do and it is amazingly soft. The yarn is a chunky alpaca/wool/acrylic mix with the finished product being beautifully lightweight and cosy. The pattern is made using a waffle stitch and is finished with an all around beautiful chain crochet fringe that adds more texture to the finish. The crochet pattern is written in UK terminology and uses 2 x 400g cones in main colour (600 m per cone) and a small amount of 2 other contrasting colours.
