As with the crochet bag, I created the craft pots with double threads of carpet wool yarn. You can buy carpet wool yarn from www.yarnoncone.co.uk in the UK. The pots are crocheted using 8mm needles and are in 3 different sizes for your craft room or you could use in the bedroom for brushes, combs and makeup, the choice is yours. Carpet yarn is great for pots and baskets as the yarn is stiff and holds the shape nicely.
As an alternative you can try using a thick strong yarn such as cotton, macrame yarn or sissal.
